Tasks
Role Summary:
Mechanical Engineer at Tuttnauer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving existing sterilization and disinfection products throughout their lifecycle. The role ensures long‑term product reliability, cost‑effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, while working cross‑functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Support.
Key Responsibilities:
Mechanical Engineer at Tuttnauer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and improving existing sterilization and disinfection products throughout their lifecycle. The role ensures long‑term product reliability, cost‑effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement, while working cross‑functionally with Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Customer Support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage ECO’s from End to end by all it’s aspects.
- Support production lines by solving engineering‑related issues and driving yield improvements.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, QA, and Supplier Quality to handle process deviations, NCRs, and CAPA activities. (Quality/process capability collaboration)
- Provide engineering support in all activities in the manufacturing process to production lines, Customer support, Sourcing and Subcontractors
- Maintain and update documentation, BOMs, drawings, and specifications. (Modify drawings, revise projects)
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems, determine root cause, and implement corrective actions.
- Lead or support continuous process improvements, cost‑reduction projects, and material substitutions and EOL.
Requirements
- BSc degree in Mechanical engineering
- Experience in NPI engineer or production engineer (3 years minimum)
- Experience in mechanical design
- Prior experience in manufacturing and operation experience.
- Ability to solve technical problems while working on multi-disciplinary product
- Self-motivated, self-maintained and able to take the initiative to solve problems
- Strong understanding of an operational workflow process
- Strong written and verbal English language communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible with changes
- Ability to present technical information and effectively communicate across all levels of the organization
- Ability to motivate people and teamwork skills
- Multi-tasking capability with task priorities and organized working methodologies
- English proficiency
