Responsibilities

Key resposibilities:

continuously optimize safe, efficient, and scalable material flow performance and drive execution and commitment;
calculate takt time, cycle times, defining manpower, equipment, and buffers needed and ensure frequent updates in the ERP system;
elect and define how to choose the best equipment solution, such as tuggers, AGVs, AMRs, conveyors, through trade-off analysis;
lean material handling to cut inventory cycles, lower carrying costs, and boost labor efficiency while delivering measurable savings across operations;
implement new or advanced digital tools in order to optimize material flow, eliminate waste, and drive daily operational excellence;
collaborate with the regional manufacturing/ supply chain team and coordinate the flow of materials through the supply chain suppliers optimizing transportation, warehousing, and inventory management strategies;
collaborate with the manufacturing team and the supply chain team to drive cost savings, increase inventory turns and track financial performance;

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or operations; Master's preferred (MBA ideal) or similar education
3-5 years of professional experience in the area of material handling, material flow and integrity of production data
in-depth knowledge of logistics and production processes
careful, methodical and structured way of working with a strong Lean & continuous improvement mindset as well as deep understanding of Lean principles and practices
knowledge of financial metrics and their connection to material handling and lean material flow aspects.
professional experience on material handling transformations across the production plant (preferably in the automotive industry)
fluent German and English language skills
digital & analytic proficiency in SAP RLP, WMS, IoT, RFID (or similar systems) Power BI, MS office, and analytics platforms; experience scaling digital tools across large networks.
ability to lead a team and foster collaboration across different functions in the plant (e.g. Operations, Finance, Supply chain).
