Responsibilities
Manages the preparation and review of statutory reporting for Greif’s international entities across multiple jurisdictions
Provides recommendations and insights for the design and implementation of processes and controls (including SOX) around the statutory filing preparation
Interprets and implements material changes in U.S. and non-U.S. statutory and compliance regulations
Manage statutory and compliance projects through the providing insights in development of strategy executing that strategy for both U.S. and Non-U.S. international issues
Manages cross-functional projects involving international restructuring, M&A activities and divestitures across multiple jurisdictions
Leads the monthly, quarterly and year-end statutory compliance obligations, including statutory, tax and regulatory reporting requirements for multiple jurisdictions
Coordinates Company involvement in matter resolution and audit inquiries with tax authorities, government authorities, and internal and external auditors for multiple jurisdictions
Reviews balance sheet and income statement monitoring over legal entities and strategic business units
Monitors and reviews SOX controls related to entity-level and areas for responsible jurisdictions
Serves as liaison with enabling functions and business operations to design and implement internal controls and process improvements
Partners with multiple parties in support of compliance reporting obligations (parties include GBSC, FP&A, business unit and regional leadership, legal department and tax department)
Execute and monitor KPIs and dashboard reporting to provide accurate and timely review of status and deadlines for all compliance-related matters
Act as a key partner to Legal Entity Directors in fulfillment of legal entity compliance obligations
Consults and develops solutions on highly technical and complex reporting issues and transactions for both accounting and non-accounting experts
Identify and implement enhancements in operating procedures to deliver accurate and timely statutory reporting in an efficient delivery model
Drive the standardization of processes and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency, and best practice across operations
Implement opportunities to improve financial reporting processes, systems, and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy
Led initiatives to ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or ACCA or CPA (or local equivalent) preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial and/or reporting roles, with at least 2-3 years in a managerial role
Fluency in English is required, additional languages are an advantage
Experience in Shared Services environments, with a solid understanding of centralized operations and service delivery models is an advantage
Professional background in a Big 4 firm, with a strong control and quality mindset, is an advantage
Experience with automation and AI tools is an advantage
Experience in managing business transitions, ensuring smooth implementation and operational continuity
Demonstrated experience and strong ability to take ownership and accountability, consistently delivering results under tight deadlines
Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams, consistently delivering on departmental objectives while effectively managing shifting priorities
Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments, adapting quickly to changing business needs
Proven experience in managing change initiatives, driving adoption and delivering sustainable results
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership decision-making and align key stakeholders
Excellent organizational skills, strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to communicate with a broad range of stakeholders
Customer-focused, resilient, adaptable to change and quick to learn with a servant leader approach
