Állás leírása

Responsibilities

The Mailroom Clerk receives, dispatches, sorts, and distributes mail from multiple sources. These include but are not limited to local and international mail, Diplomatic Post Office (DPO) mail, diplomatic pouch material, and commercial courier services. The incumbent spends a large percentage of the time serving customers at the Mailroom service window. Other duties will include:
 
Mail Collection and Sorting:
  • Collect incoming and outgoing mail from various sources within the embassy.
  • Accurately sort and distribute mail to respective recipients and departments.
  • Maintain a well-organized and efficient mailroom.
 
Coordination with External Providers:
  • Collaborate with outside organizations, such as FedEx and local mail providers, to ensure timely and secure mail delivery.
  • Track and receive packages and shipments, verifying their accuracy and condition.
 
Customer Care:
  • Provide courteous and efficient customer service to embassy staff inquiring about mail or package status.
  • Assist in addressing their needs and concerns related to mail services.
 
Record Keeping:
  • Maintain detailed records of all incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
  • Update tracking systems and databases as necessary.

Requirements

Experience:
  • One year of experience in customer care, office assistance, or clerical work.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
 
EDUCATION:
  • Successful completion of high school or local equivalent is required.
 
LANGUAGE: 
  • English: Good working knowledge in Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
  • Hungarian: Good working knowledge in Reading/Writing/Speaking is required.
