Responsibilities

Leading and mentoring a team of ML engineers
Owning model quality end-to-end from experimentation to production-ready artifact
Conducting regular 1-on-1s for career development and feedback
Driving task prioritization, sprint planning, and resource allocation
Championing team achievements and roadmap to stakeholders
Leading model experimentation strategies and architectural improvements
Guiding design, training, fine-tuning, and evaluation of ML models
Defining model quality metrics, evaluation datasets, and acceptance criteria
Establishing strict model release contracts for Java-based backend
Ensuring deployed models meet operational constraints across deployment tiers

Requirements

Proven experience managing or leading technical teams
Applied ML experience across at least two domains such as text/content classification, computer vision, similarity search/embedding models, malware, or threat detection
Strong proficiency in Python and frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow
Deep experience with model evaluation frameworks
History of shipping models with clean, well-documented handoff contracts
Solid grounding in statistics and rigorous experiment design

Nice-to-have

Security ML domain experience such as malware family classification, phishing detection, URL reputation
Experience with model compression or quantization for offline and embedded environments
