As a result of a new organizational structure referring to the constantly growth, we are looking for dedicated candidate for a newly established position of Logistics Manager, who want and can implement a holistic logistics strategy, innovative solutions and technologies to enhance competitiveness and to support Just-in-Time production and delivery.

The position holder will have full responsibility for the management of the Logistics Department and will ensure the effective and cost-efficient operation of the area. Following key duties and responsibilities are associated with the position:
 

  • Logistics Strategy Development and Execution aligned with company goals
  • Cost Management and KPIs (delivery accuracy, inventory turnover, warehouse efficiency)
  • Warehouse Operations, optimizing layout and capacity, inventory, operating company- owned and leased warehouses, ensuring warehouse safety and compliance, monitoring storage of chemicals and hazardous materials
  • Internal Material Flow Management like planning and organizing movement of raw materials, semi-finished and finished goods between production areas, optimizing supply routes and cycle times, ensuring timely and accurate supply to production lines (JIT)
  • Inventory Management, balancing stock levels with supply and demand, improving inventory accuracy and overseeing stocktaking processes
  • Communication and Collaboration with group subsidiaries and corporate logistics as well as with internal departments (procurement, production, sales)
  • Overseeing Transportation Processes, selection and evaluation of transport partners and optimizing transportation costs and lead times
  • Leading Logistics Projects like implementing new systems, managing digitalization and process improvement initiatives, etc.
  • Promoting LEAN culture in logistics operations, standardizing and continuously improving processes
  • Leading, developing and motivating the logistics team of >50 people
  • Ensuring compliance with ADR, EKAER, customs, and other logistics regulations; preparing for and passing audits
  • University degree in logistics, economics or engineering
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3 years in a senior leadership role
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, German languages is an advantage
  • ERP system knowledge (SAP S/4HANA)
  • LEAN mindset & tool
  • Knowledge of legislation (ADR, EKAER, customs, logistics and warehousing rules)
  • Experience with IT-based logistics process optimization
