GBS Procurement is integral to building bp's distinctive capabilities and enhancing the procurement processes. In order to achieve this, they are collaborating with segment category teams to effectively build, segment and manage the third-party supply chains. They are building the next generation of category management; sourcing and digital capability in line with bp’s defined functional vision and location strategy.

Lead eSourcing Specialist

In this role You will:

  • Project manage complex eSourcing events such as eAuctions, for multiple Business Units and Categories
  • Define approach to market in accordance with the respective category strategy, recommend most suitable event type and structure
  • Build and execute eSourcing events in Ariba, in line with requirements and process, communicate status and progress of projects to requestors/stakeholders, manage all supplier interactions through event lifecycle
  • At event closure, provide high quality report and commercial analyses for decision making support (eg: excel custom reports, optimisation)
  • Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders across the company to implement and optimize eAuction usage, pro-actively engage and build pipeline
  • Take ownership and accountability for incoming projects -Identify opportunities and issues while maintaining effectiveness
  • Ensure all systems and tools are available relating to online tendering; issues are raised in a timely manner to the relevant service providers
  • Provide excellent support to BP Procurement organizations, building the credibility of the Team and creating further demand
  • Take an innovative approach and support/lead continuous improvement initiatives, identify and pursue process re-engineering, value engineering, and demand management opportunities, increase efficiencies
  • Build and maintain strong pipeline for eAuction activities
  • Reporting the performance of self and fellow eSourcing Leads and further develop current measurement system
  • Ensure right visibility of eAuction success stories•Provide mentoring and leadership to Event Management Team (RFx), maximise performance and development potential in field of online tendering
  • Support Sourcing activities as needed
  • To align with any other job-related requirements. This may be defined by an attached task list or defined by one’s relevant team lead/manager or process lead
  • Align with BP’s Code of Conduct, taking a professional and disciplined approach to working with suppliers, to ensure transparency, consistency and fairness. Our procurement and supply chain management principles are always applied within that framework and in the context of relevant laws and regulations ​

What You need to be successful:

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of relevant sourcing experience, gained preferably in a multinational environment
  • 3+ years proven experience with conducting high complexity online tenders/ eAuctions
  • Expert user of any eSourcing/online tendering tool (Ariba preferred)•Advanced desktop computing experience, solid MS excel user
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluent in Spanish or Polish or French is an advantage
  • Understanding of end-to-end sourcing process
  • Systematic thinking, strong ability to learn different systems•Strong analytical skills
  • Project management mind-set, ownership
  • Solid communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent time-management and task prioritization skills, multitasking
  • Proactive and innovative approach
