Responsibilities

Troubleshooting pending items on daily basis and supporting issue resolution
Educating internal and external customers on policies and procedures
Preparing and providing data for clients
Retrieving and requesting additional documentation when required
Ensuring documents are processed in accordance with policies and procedures
Maintaining data tracking logs for metrics, production and compliance reporting
Validating accuracy of supporting documentation used in exceptions
Contributing to quality control by reviewing documentation for accuracy and compliance
Adhering to legal and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
Completing assigned work and priorities using policies, data, and resources
Collaborating with managers, co-workers, internal clients, and others involved in the processes
Maintaining involvement and communication through telephone, email, chat, or other means with internal and external clients
Resolving supplier disputes and issues including root cause analysis and proactive mitigation steps
Identifying opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement of processes
Backing up the Team Leader in operational responsibilities as required
Mentoring and training new team members
Driving regular maintenance of P2P ledgers including cash clearing, supplier and GRNI ledgers
Involvement in month end closing activities such as reporting, reconciliations, accruals and reviews
Coordinating projects between multiple teams and departments
Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
3+ years of working experience in Accounts Payable
Solid understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations
Ability to act as SME (subject matter expert) in functional area
Strong attention to detail
Confident knowledge of MS tools (Outlook, Excel)
ERP/workflow experience (SAP, Oracle, QAD, Navision, Basware, Coupa and Tungsten)
Ability to handle complex reporting activities (month-end accruals, account reconciliations)
Ability to liaise with Internal Controls & Compliance
Ability to liaise with GBS Finance Teams (GL Accounting, ICO Accounting) and Site Finance Controllership
Ability to multitask and follow frequently changing priorities
Self-starter, proactive approach
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Process Improvement, Process Standardization, Process Automation experience
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Team person attitude, quick learner, flexibility and high adaptability to change
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
