Responsibilities

Building and shipping features end-to-end across the React frontend and Node.js/Fastify backend using AI tools
Reading, navigating, and extending an existing production codebase
Writing unit, integration, and component tests using Jest and React Testing Library
Participating in code review with precision and clarity
Deploying and debugging changes on AWS using CloudWatch logs and CDK infrastructure
Collaborating with product and design to turn requirements into working, tested software

Requirements

Strong code reading ability to navigate and extend unfamiliar codebases safely
Fluent use of AI coding tools as a day-to-day accelerator
Production-ready TypeScript or JavaScript experience in a real project or job
Familiarity with React and building UI from component level up
Understanding of REST APIs and client-server communication
Experience writing automated tests using Jest, Vitest, or similar
Comfortable with Git including branching, pull requests, and resolving conflicts

Nice-to-have

Experience with AWS Lambda, SQS, CDK, CloudWatch
Node.js backend development with Fastify or Express
SQL and database migrations
Working in a monorepo using Nx, Turborepo, or Lerna
Experience prompting AI tools for test generation, refactoring, or architecture exploration
