Responsibilities

  • Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code mainly in Python
  • Delivering great user experience by development of great user interfaces
  • Handling security and data protection professionally and precisely
  • Providing technical solutions and implementing new software features collaboratively

Requirements

  • Studies towards BA or MA degree in computer science and/or a related field
  • Knowledge of Python or expertise in C++, Java or C#
  • Knowledge of object-oriented approach and program design patterns
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Good understanding of the ORM (Object Relational Mapper) approach
  • Experience in using open-source tools
  • Interest in computer graphics
  • Ability to deliver on schedule and work calmly and efficiently under pressure
  • Good working knowledge of written and spoken English
  • Ability to perform at least 20 work hours per week with flexible work hours

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge and experience of SQLAlchemy/Django frameworks
  • Knowledge of Qt Graphic Framework
  • Knowledge of Agile software development methods
  • Knowledge of DVCS tools (Git, Mercurial)
  • Experience in MVC desktop GUI development
  • Experience in multi-threaded programs development
  • Experience in cross-platform development (Windows, OSX, Linux)
  • Good working knowledge of written and spoken Hungarian
