Junior Data Engineer

What You would do at KPMG:
- Proactively support the team with new ideas and solutions
- Support the design and development of scalable and reliable data pipelines to ingest, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs
- Support the development and maintenance of data models, schemas, and metadata regarding to data warehousing and data analytics initiatives
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data engineering, continuously improving skills and knowledge
- Participate in cross-functional projects and initiatives, contributing data engineering expertise as needed
What brings you aboard:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field or Economics with strong IT affinity
- 1-3 years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or big data
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases. NoSQL is an advantage
- Knowledge of least one programming languages such as Python, VBA, Scala or C#
- Familiarity with at least one data integration tool such as Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Alteryx or SSIS,
- Understanding of data modeling, data structures, algorithms, master data and transactional data concepts
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as MS Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal in English and in Hungarian
- Knowledge of MS Office tools
- Willingness to learn new technologies
- Can do attitude
