You will take on a central role in the further development and stable operation of our core applications, combining technical expertise with business understanding and actively contributing to shaping our system landscape in a reliable, efficient, and future-oriented way.

How you'll make an impact

Development, maintenance, and operation of business-critical insurance applications on the IBM i platform using RPG (RPG III, RPG/ILE, RPG/Free)
Ensuring stable, efficient, and secure operation of core systems
2nd-level support for IBM i applications
Analyzing errors, identifying development needs, implementing fixes and enhancements, and presenting results and solutions to business departments
Translating business requirements into technical concepts and ensuring smooth implementation

How you'll make an impact

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a comparable qualification, along with several years of experience in RPG development and operation of business applications
Strong knowledge of RPG (RPG III, RPG/ILE, RPG/Free), IBM Db2 for i, SQL, and web services
Experience with database design, system integration, and service-oriented architectures
Knowledge of traditional development models (Waterfall) and ITIL is an advantage
Strong analytical skills and high problem-solving competence
Ability to communicate technical topics clearly to non-technical stakeholders
Strong commitment to delivering high-quality work
Excellent communication skills in English and/or German
