JOB SUMMARY
Are you looking to develop your skills as an IT Security Analyst?
Albemarle is seeking an IT Security Analyst to join our Budapest IT Security Team. Responsibilities include alarm monitoring, response, adjudication, forensics and triage operations are delivered in collaboration with partner security operations teams and stakeholders globally. Security Analysts are the first line decision makers ensuring each response provides the required level of oversight in support of data center security operations; routing for resolution and/or driving escalations.
An ideal candidate for this role will be able to work at all levels, from the theoretical knowledge of security principles to the practical application and real-world implementation of processes and measures. You must have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to multi-task. You should demonstrate good judgement and critical thinking while also being able to follow tasks and procedures utilizing discretion at all times. The applicant should have refined organizational, planning and prioritization skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
The role requires office presence at our site at least two days per week.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
- Security Operations Investigates deeper on the detected behaviors when an incident is escalated by analysts, MSSPs and Security Tools
- Manage call resolution of incoming IT security incidents and tasks, add context to the incident to understand the behavior, analyzing data from multiple tools and data sources,
- Participates to the crisis management by providing support to the incident handler and management,
- Create reports, visualizations and threat models of security attacks,
- Tracks trends for metrics and reporting,
- Works on the decrease of false positives,
- Review Threat Intelligence and potential attacks against Albemarle,
- Maintain the detection rules database & develop use cases.
- Customer relation
- Participates to recurrent meetings with the customer as the technical referent,
- Provides recommendations or workarounds to the customer in order to reduce business impact,
- Leads and participates to the continuous improvement of the service (detection level, process, operational procedures, service efficiency, service reporting),
- Supports the customer for the remediation of incidents,
- Supports management for the reporting of the activity.
- Continuous improvements in charge of the improvement plan and development of process/procedure manuals and documentation
- Participates of the improvement plan for service efficiency and detection rules,
- Be aware of and stay current with leading practices for IT security through research, networking, prototyping and education.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Required:
- Ability to communicate effectively in English in written and verbal form,
- University degree in IT,
- Ability to handle confidential information with care,
- Ability to operate effectively within a team environment,
- Customer service focus and troubleshooting skills,
- Multitasking skills including the ability to answer multiple calls and prioritize emails, instant messaging and ticket related communications,
- Working in fast paced environments with the ability to manage workloads when handling incident responses with competing priorities,
- Excellent communication and report writing skills,
- Understanding security protocols, authentication and authorization,
- Knowledge of JavaScript, SQL, KQL, Hex editor, Debugging,
- Using MS Office Suite to include Word, PowerPoint, Excel,
- Detail oriented, natural curiosity and tenacity.
- Advantageous (but not required):
- Experience in access control and intrusion detection systems,
- Experience with process management methodologies such as Six Sigma or ITIL Delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, SAFe),
- Experience with FreshService ticketing system,
- Familiarity with NIST CSF, NIST 800 series, GDPR, ISO 27001, NIS2,
- Strong understanding of cloud technologies.
