IT Operation Administrator - L2 support

Main tasks, responsibilities:

Your responsibilities

  • Participate in implementation and provide operational support for Global IT Infrastructure Services of Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) Systems at group level as primary responsible.
  • Provide L2 support for this service and for additional ones, such as IT System Monitoring as deputy responsible.
  • Ensure standard installation, configuration and administration of hybrid IT infrastructure components, such as MS Windows Servers, Red Hat Enterprise Linux Servers.
  • Take part in central logging, backup, monitoring and reporting for these services.
  • Monitor, analyze IT Infrastructure of MOM System related events and incidents, based on the analysis take professional corrective actions.
  • Resolve, manage and document IT Infrastructure Services of MOM System related incidents by the ticketing system.
  • Collaboration in the definition of local and/or global standards.
  • Close cooperation with IT and other departments during daily works as well as during various projects and/or audits.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of server operating systems: Linux Server and Microsoft Windows Server Systems. Preferred RHEL or CentOS. RHCA, RHCE, RHEL Satellite Administration certifications or equivalent knowledge is required.
  • Azure IaaS, SaaS or other cloud computing service administration skills are required.
  • Experiences in IT service installations and administrations with mentioned server operating systems. Ideally should have experiences in configuration, management and application deployment in on premise as well as in cloud environments.
  • Understandings of IT service supports and operations.
  • Precise and well-structured work style.
  • Proactive, self-confident attitude but able and capable to follow standards and policies.
  • Good English knowledge, German knowledge is an advantage.
  • 2-3 years L1 and/or L2 Level support experiences ideally in one of the mentioned services above.
  • Readiness for continuous trainings and educations.
  • Willingness to work flexibly if needed (possible out-of-hours assignments).
  • Willingness to work with colleagues from different cultures.
  • Willingness to provide on-call service out of office time.
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 15 %).
