Responsibilities

The IT Finance Specialist is an administrative role in the global IT organization.
Managing IT costs for projects and services. Ensures the daily business in all IT related controlling processes is part of the IT Commercial Service Team, that is responsible to support the IT teams, IT Management and KOSTAL Holding Controlling.
Main tasks, roles and responsibilities:
  • Able to make decisions and works according to the “Process and Responsibility” description, which defines the responsibilities of the IT Commercial Service team members.
  • Works independently and with minimal guidance to support and manage IT finance processes in the daily business, depending on the process.
  • Is working in a multinational environment, for customers in various KOSTAL legal entities.
  • Single point of contact to support the IT Service Owners to set up purchase order requisition in SAP ARIBA.
  • Supports the KOSTAL Holding Controlling to create aligned cost allocation for IT services and projects.
  • Supports the IT Service Owners and IT Project Managers, with invoice verification from internal and external vendors. Ensures correct cost and consumption reports, as well as the cost allocation to the cost objects.
  • Manages WBS elements for IT services and projects.
  • Manages accruals and provisions for IT services and projects.
  • Supports the KOSTAL Holding Controlling with closing activities (monthly, quarterly, year-end closing)
  • Support the KOSTAL Holding Controlling with budget planning for operations and projects.
  • Supports and controls financial change management for project cost (Statement of Work & Project Change Request Management).
  • Ensure a clear overview of IT costs, including external provider costs, license, hardware, service and contractor costs
  • Coordination and documentation of invoices
  • Support the continuous improvement of commercial service documentation.
  • Creates and manages IT controlling reports.
  • Being part of a new service team, which was established and centralized recently, and is now facing the challenge of process standardization, changes and improvement.

Requirements

  • Solid background in Controlling, Economics or Finance
  • At least 2 years of experience in IT Controlling or related commercial roles in IT
  • Experienced in IT controlling for projects and services
  • Good SAP user knowledge in the Finance modules (FI, CO, PS)
  • Knowledge in Excel (able to create reports, pivots, using formulas)
  • Knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluent English
  • Fluent German is an advantage
Required Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to make decisions alone for predefined topics.
  • Ability to work alone under minimum supervision for predefined topics.
  • Strong team player with supportive mind-set.
  • Passion for changes and continuous improvement.
  • Common understanding of IT technologies and processes is a benefit.
  • Experience in virtual teams in multinational organizations.
