Responsibilities
The Investment Operation Specialist acts as a contact point for external fund managers and operates as an interface between the Depository Bank, external fund managers and advisers/clients of externally managed funds. He/She is responsible for processing executed transactions and solving settlement fail problems. His/Her responsibilities include the additional support function of internal fund managers as far as insourcing funds, brokers and EMIR-functions are concerned.
Tasks:
- Handle executed transactions
- Requesting missing static data (e.g. on new securities) from external fund manager
- Claim management (requests from external fund managers, Custodian, Sub-Custodian, Erste Group Bank) incl. support and solution finding of settle fails
- Monitoring of incoming Swift messages and appropriate interventions in case of technical or functional errors
- Daily reconciliation of holdings
- Validation checks for cash-avisi, forwarding information on expected cash movements (Subscriptions/Redemptions, distribution payments, repostings) to fund managers
- Requesting and monitoring information on collateral management, forwarding collateral management decision to collateral desk
- Monitoring if necessary actions regarding compliance with investment rules have been taken within the requested time limit
- Corporate Actions: monitoring if external fund managers have acted until the requested deadline and eventually (in necessary) sending out reminders to external fund managers requesting the final decision.
- Initial and regular Due Dilligence of “internal” and “external” brokers
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years experience in Financial sector is an advantage
- Service and Costumer Orientated
- Communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Analytical thinking
- High skills in MS Office products

Management and administration of investment funds in accordance with the Austrian Investment Fund Act 2011 (“InvFG 2011”) as amended from time to time
- - licensed in accordance with § 1 (1) no. 13 of the Austrian Banking Act (“BWG”)
- investment advice in relation to financial instruments (§ 3 (2) no. 1 of the Austrian Securities Supervision Act 2007 (“WAG 2007”)
- Managing individual portfolios for clients on a discretionary client-by-client basis (§ 3 (2) no. 2 WAG 2007) - Management and administration of alternative investment funds (“AIF”)
EAM has been licensed as an Alternative Investment Fund Manager pursuant to § 6 (1) in conjunction with § 4 (1) of the Austrian Alternative Investment Fund Managers Act (“AIFMG”) and is authorised to manage AIF pursuant to § 3 (2) no. 31 InvFG 2011 and to manage AIF pursuant to AIFMG with the strategies “Fund-of-Funds Strategy/Private Equity Fund-of-Funds”, "Real Estate Strategies: Other Real Estate Strategies" and “Private Equity Strategies (Venture Capital , Growth Capital , Mezzanine-Capital , Multi-Strategy-Private-Equity and other Private-Equity-Strategies)”. - Ancillary services: custody and technical management in connection with shares or units in undertakings for collective investment (§ 4 (4) no. 2 lit. b) AIFMG)
