Responsibilities

  • What will be your main responsibility?

    • manage the full lifecycle of fixed assets (activation, maintenance, disposal) for all ledgers in the germany & austria zone
    • oversee and control assets under construction, ensuring accurate classification and timely capitalization
    • execute monthly, quarterly, and annual closings related to fixed assets, including depreciation bookings and preparation of asset schedules
    • perform monthly reconciliations and ensure documentation meets sox and local compliance requirements
    • analyze p&l accounts to identify capitalizable transactions and properly account for low-value assets
    • act as key contact for internal and external audits related to fixed assets, including sox reviews and statutory inspections
    • lead or support fixed asset-related projects such as site expansions, restructurings, regulatory changes, and system implementations
    • contribute to process improvements in fixed asset accounting and control environments

Requirements

  • What you'll need to succeed in this role:

    • 2-3 years of experience in accounting within a multinational or regional EMEA setting (GL, RTR, or Financial Accounting roles preferred - focusing on fixed assets)
    • Hands-on experience with SAP or Oracle ERP systems
    • Fluency in English and a strong intermediate German ,both written and spoken
    • A university degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting
    • Solid understanding of US GAAP or IFRS standards
    • Willingness to travel within the EMEA region as required
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
