Infrastructure DevOps Engineer (BigFix Environment)Enable and support OS teams in installing and operating the BigFix agent on Windows and Linux server environmentsAct as the single…Infrastructure DevOps Engineer (BigFix Environment)Job description:Enable and support OS teams in installing and operating the BigFix agent on Windows and Linux server environmentsAct as the single point of contact for technical questions related to the BigFix platform and associated infrastructure componentsManage and operate backend/agent applications across distributed server landscapesImplement, configure, and maintain infrastructure components, including networking, storage, and virtualizationDevelop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python) for API integrations and operational efficiencyWork with DevOps toolchains such as Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, Git, and Jira to enable streamlined deployment and collaboration processesExecute and coordinate rollouts and migrations in close collaboration with cross-functional teams and internal OS engineersApply ITIL-based processes (deployment, change, incident, and problem management) in daily operationsSupport the project manager in planning activities, tracking progress, and ensuring milestone transparencyEnsure clear, transparent, and proactive communication between OS engineers and the project organizationAnalyze complex system landscapes and break them down into manageable subsystems to ensure scalability, compliance, and stabilityContribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the DevOps and infrastructure environmentAbout the customer:As a strategic Tier 1 talent partner for Swisscom, we are currently recruiting an Infrastructure DevOps Engineer to join an agile DevOps environment within a large-scale enterprise setting.In this role, you will actively contribute to the development, integration, and operation of modern infrastructure and software solutions. You will take ownership of backlog items, ensure built-in quality and security, and continuously enhance your DevOps expertise.You will work with modern security and compliance applications from HCL Software (BigFix Licensing Tool), take responsibility for Swisscom's internal patch and hardening reporting, and simplify the distribution and updating of agents across multiple platforms throughout the organization.Duration:(start flexible) with initial contract until(with option to extend the contract)Place of work: Zürich-City, Hybrid (2 Days Home-Office per week)Contract: Bodyleasing via SwisslinxRequirements:Skills Must have:Education in computer science (FH/HF/EFZ) or equivalent professional experienceBasic-level knowledge in software engineering and DevOps concepts, as well as an understanding of agile and lean working methodsExperience working with backend/agent applications on Windows or Linux serversAbility to implement and operate infrastructure components (network, storage, virtualization)Confident handling of scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash or Python (e.g., for API usage)Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Artifactory, Ansible, Docker, Git, JiraKnowledge of ITIL processes (Deployment, Change, Incident, Problem Management)Experience in rollouts, migrations, and collaboration with various technical teamsStrong communication skills when working with internal OS teamsHigh flexibility, growth mindset, and a pronounced hands-on mentalityAbility to break down complex systems into simple subsystems (exceptions, excludes, etc.)Language English is a must (German would be a plus but not required)Skills Nice to have:Previous know-how of BigFix, Alerting & Monitoring Tools is a plus jidc131c98pn jit0209pn jiy26pn
