Responsibilities

We are looking for an HSE Expert to ensure safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible operations across all assets and concession interests of Aspect Energy. In this role, you will act as a key focal point for operational HSE performance, proactively managing risks and driving continuous improvement across both field and office activities..

Your key responsibilities will include:

Coordinate HSE activities across operated and non-operated assets, including alignment with concession partners
Monitor and evaluate HSE performance; prepare regular reports, analyze KPIs, and recommend improvements
Develop, maintain, and test emergency response plans, including organizing drills and exercises
Ensure environmental compliance, including emissions monitoring, waste management, and environmental impact control
Evaluate contractor HSE performance, support pre-qualification processes, and enforce company standards
Plan and coordinate HSE audits and internal inspections; track and follow up on corrective actions
Support new projects (e.g., drilling, well interventions, facility developments) by identifying risks and defining mitigation measures
Drive and implement HSE initiatives and campaigns to strengthen safety culture
Provide HSE advisory support to technical and operations teams
Monitor relevant Hungarian and EU legislation and ensure effective implementation

Requirements

We are looking for you if you have:

A degree in Engineering (preferably Mining Engineering) complemented by an HSE qualification
5–10 years of relevant HSE experience, ideally in oil & gas or another high-risk industry
Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, standards, and regulations
Experience with operational risks, audits, inspections, and incident investigations
Solid analytical and reporting skills
Experience working with contractors and multiple stakeholders
