JOB DESCRIPTION

HS&E Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining effective health, safety, and environmental programs within the organization. You will ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and standards while promoting a strong safety culture. You will work closely with management and employees to identify and mitigate risks, conduct training, and drive continuous improvement in HS&E performance

 
 
 
 

ADVANTAGES

  • Bsc degree in mechanical, chemical, environmental or bioengineering
  • Trained as Specialized safety engineer or technician
  • Trained fire protection lecturer, who gained relevant experience in fire protection in a manufacturing environment

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement HS&E policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, non-compliance issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Evaluate workplace processes, equipment, and facilities to identify and implement appropriate safety measures.
  • Provide guidance and support to management and employees on HS&E matters, including hazard identification, risk assessment, and incident investigation.
  • Develop and deliver HS&E training programs to enhance employee awareness and promote safe work practices.
  • Investigate and report on workplace incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain records and documentation related to HS&E activities, including incident reports, training records, and permits.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in relevant regulations and industry best practices and ensure timely updates to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address HS&E concerns in new projects, process changes, and facility expansions.
  • Participate in emergency response planning and drills, ensuring readiness for potential incidents.

EXPECTATIONS

  • You have Bsc or Msc degree in engineering
  • 3-5 years’ experience in relevant field
  • Your English and Hungarian language skills are at a level capable of communication, both in writing and orally
  • You have strong leadership and excellent communication skills
  • Characterized by good problem-solving skills, systems approach, process orientation, analytical thinking, growth mindset and detailed oriented, precise,
  • You are open and motivated to acquire new knowledge as an engineer in Health and Safety field
