Responsibilities
Are you passionate about turning guest moments into lasting memories? At the Budapest Marriott Hotel, we believe extraordinary service begins with genuine human connections. We’re seeking a dedicated Guest Relations Manager who will step in to lead our Guest Relations and At Your Service (Call Centre) teams, and act as the Front Office Duty Manager in the absence of the Front Office Manager. What you will do
- Lead the Guest Relations team and the At Your Service Call-Centre (7 team members in total) — coaching, developing and inspiring your team to deliver five-star service.
- Substitute for the Front Office Duty Manager during their absence, overseeing smooth operations, guest flows, and key decision-making.
- Handle all guest comments, feedback and complaints — ensure timely follow-up, resolution and recovery in line with our brand standards.
- Monitor guest satisfaction metrics and partner with Front Office, Housekeeping, Maintenance and other departments to continuously raise service levels.
- Maintain high visibility in the guest-facing areas, demonstrate service excellence and embed a culture of sincere hospitality.
- Report directly to the Front Office Manager and collaborate closely across departments to uphold the Marriott service promise.
Requirements
- You bring proven leadership experience in a premium hotel or upscale hospitality environment — ideally in guest relations, front office operations or a similar guest-experience role.
- You are a confident problem-solver who stays calm under pressure, with a genuine empathy for guests and a desire to turn feedback into action.
- You display strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop a team.
- You understand the importance of complaint handling and guest recovery, and you can follow through until resolution.
- You are fluent in English; proficiency in Hungarian is highly desirable. Additional languages are a plus.
