Responsibilities

  • Our partner, a growing international Shared Service Center, is expanding its finance team, and we are now looking for a motivated and precise General Ledger Accountant to join them.

    In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end general ledger activities, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting month-end closings and reporting. You will work in a collaborative multinational environment that values expertise, ownership, and continuous improvement.

    Key responsibilities

    • Perform daily general ledger accounting tasks, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
    • Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes
    • Ensure compliance with internal accounting policies and international standards
    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
    • Collaborate closely with other finance functions such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and FP&A
    • Assist in audit preparations and respond to internal and external auditor requests
    • Take part in process improvement, standardization, and automation initiatives
    • Support system or process transitions as the organization continues to grow

    Requirements

    • Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics
    • 3-5 years of relevant experience in general ledger or financial accounting (preferably in an SSC or multinational environment)
    • Good understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
    • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
    • Confident user of Excel and ERP systems (SAP experience is an advantage)
    • Proactive, reliable, and adaptable personality with a continuous improvement mindset
