Join our Technology Team and advance your career as a Full-Stack Software Developer
In this role You will:
- Work on various applications used by bp’s Gas business for pricing, billing, reporting, etc.
- Have the chance to participate in different projects, learning new things
- Build and maintain scalable backend services, APIs, and components in C#, as well as some front-end features in React, ensuring seamless integration and smooth data exchange
- Write clean, efficient, and well-tested code while following best practices, conducting code reviews, and proactively addressing technical debt
- Continuously review the services and components and seeking opportunities for improvements
- Work closely with Product Owners, BAs, and collaborators to understand requirements, contribute to solution design, and deliver features that provide tangible business value
- Provide first-line and third-line production support, investigate and resolve user-reported issues, and implement long-term solutions while monitoring service health and performance
- Find opportunities to optimise system performance, integration flows, and platform capabilities, while staying ahead of with emerging technologies and engineering trends
- Share knowledge and promote a collaborative, high-performing engineering culture focused on delivering value and continuous improvement
What You will need to be successful:
- Solid experience in the IT industry with experience in designing, planning, implementing, maintaining, and documenting solutions
- Strong Software Engineering Design capabilities and understanding of Computational Complexity
- Expertise in C# (.NET Core) to design and develop scalable backend services, APIs, and integration layers
- Hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, and JavaScript to build dynamic dashboards and user interfaces
- Database design and knowledge PostgreSQL, ability to write efficient queries, optimise performance, and work with large datasets
- Experience working with AWS services (ECS with Fargate, S3, CloudWatch, Lambda functions etc), understanding of monitoring, logging, and solving distributed systems
- Ability to work effectively with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and collaborators to translate business needs into technical solutions
- Passionate about improving code quality, exploring new technologies, and contributing to the team’s technical growth
- Proficiency in English language
