Responsibilities

Design and develop automation frameworks across frontend, backend, desktop, API, and data-driven systems
Establish testing patterns and best practices for long-term maintainability
Develop and maintain automated UI and end-to-end test suites using Playwright or Cypress
Work closely with developers to establish critical-path test coverage
Design and implement automated tests for APIs, backend services, and cloud-based applications
Validate functionality, reliability, and performance across multiple systems
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and build/deployment workflows
Support efficient and reliable software delivery through continuous testing
Improve testing approaches and identify gaps
Promote quality-focused engineering practices
Support teams in adopting scalable and effective testing strategies
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to align testing approaches
Share knowledge through code reviews, framework discussions, and testing best practices
Perform targeted manual and exploratory testing for complex defects or edge cases

Requirements

Strong experience building automation frameworks using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience with Playwright or Cypress for UI and end-to-end testing
Experience testing REST APIs and backend services
Strong understanding of test design principles and maintainable automation patterns
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with AWS cloud services
Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience working within agile software development teams

Nice-to-have

Experience testing video processing or streaming applications
Experience working with cloud-native or distributed systems
Exposure to computer vision, machine learning, or data-driven products
Knowledge of C++ and interest in understanding backend systems
Experience testing desktop applications

Hybrid working model with 2 days per week in the Budapest office
Salary range of HUF 1,045,000 – 1,567,500 gross per month depending on experience
