Responsibilities

Building scalable, maintainable automation frameworks across frontend, backend, desktop, API, and data-driven systems
Establishing testing patterns and best practices for long-term maintainability
Developing and maintaining automated UI and end-to-end test suites using Playwright or Cypress
Working closely with developers to establish effective critical-path test coverage
Designing and implementing automated tests for APIs, backend services, and cloud-based applications
Validating functionality, reliability, and performance across multiple systems
Embedding automated testing into build and deployment workflows
Supporting efficient and reliable software delivery through continuous testing
Improving testing approaches, identifying gaps, and promoting quality-focused engineering practices
Supporting teams in adopting scalable and effective testing strategies
Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to align testing approaches with technical and business objectives
Sharing knowledge through code reviews, framework discussions, and testing best practices
Performing targeted manual and exploratory testing to uncover complex defects or edge cases

Requirements

Strong experience building automation frameworks using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript
Experience with Playwright or Cypress for UI and end-to-end testing
Experience testing REST APIs and backend services
Strong understanding of test design principles and maintainable automation patterns
Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
Experience working with AWS cloud services
Strong debugging and analytical problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Experience working within agile software development teams

Nice-to-have

Experience testing video processing or streaming applications
Experience working with cloud-native or distributed systems
Exposure to computer vision, machine learning, or data-driven products
Knowledge of C++ and interest in understanding backend systems
Experience testing desktop applications

Salary range of HUF 1,045,000 – 1,567,500 gross per month depending on experience
