Responsibilities

Define and communicate a clear technical vision for the team, aligning it with SEON's strategic priorities and product roadmap
Inspire and motivate senior engineers to achieve ambitious goals
Accountable for the successful, on-time delivery of complex, critical projects central to SEON's biggest bets
Drive architectural decisions and foster a culture of technical innovation
Ensure adoption of best practices in software design, security, code quality, performance, and scalability
Identify, analyze, and mitigate technical and operational risks
Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex issues
Act as liaison with Product Management, Engineering Leadership, and Customer Success
Optimize and nurture the team's development methodologies and lifecycle
Establish and refine processes for identifying and addressing technical debt
Analyze engineering metrics and translate insights into improvement strategies
Foster a high-performance culture through continuous feedback and recognition
Identify and address team bottlenecks, optimizing efficiency and empowering autonomous problem-solving

Requirements

3+ years of proven experience mentoring, leading, and managing highly senior software engineers
7+ years of extensive experience in full-stack SaaS/web application development
2+ years of hands-on experience with React
2+ years of strong experience with NodeJS, preferably NestJS
Exceptional software engineering capabilities in JavaScript and TypeScript
Profound knowledge of HTML5/CSS3 and RESTful API development
Solid experience with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud providers (AWS preferred)
Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, Agile development environment
Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to think strategically and design end-to-end solutions
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills with focus on root cause analysis
