Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on finance professional to join our Finance Department in Switzerland. This is an operational role with responsibility for accounting, reporting, VAT, and cash management in an international food industry environment.

Your Responsibilities

As a finance professional, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of financial and accounting processes. You will support the organisation through accurate reporting, cash management, and compliance activities, while contributing to controlling tasks and finance-related of annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations.

  • Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the Swiss Code of Obligations.
  • Monthly and quarterly financial closings and reporting.
  • Year-end closing activities, including audit and inventory support.
  • Cash management, liquidity monitoring, and approval of payment runs.
  • Preparation of VAT returns (Germany – monthly, Switzerland – quarterly).
  • Monitoring and reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including inventory and accruals.
  • Capitalisation of fixed assets and posting of depreciation.
  • Maintenance and validation of financial master data (e.g. bank details, payment terms).
  • Support of controlling and preparation of financial analyses.
  • Participation in finance-related projects (e.g. digitalisation, process improvements).

Your Profile

  • Several years of experience in a finance or accounting role, ideally in an international or manufacturing/food industry environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Swiss accounting standards and VAT regulations.
  • Confident, structured, and detail-oriented working style.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Comarch is an advantage).
  • Fluent English is required; Spanish is a strong advantage.
