Field Sales Representative – Distribution
We are looking for a new colleague to join our team as Field Sales Representative – Distribution at our Hungarian GCE subsidiary. The GCE Group is today Europe ́s leading company in the field of gas control and is involved in the development and manufacturing of all types of equipment for pressure and flow control of high-pressure gases. GCE’s main business originally concentrated in the oxyacetylene cutting and welding market. However, with almost 100 years of experience in the handling of high-pressure gases, the product range has now grown to include high purity and medical gas equipment.
About the job
Communication with customers, visiting customers or potential clients to evaluate needs within the assigned sales territory of the sales unit
Proactive search for new market opportunities and expansion of company’s market share
Bidding, technical support, user consultancy
Handling and responding also to complex cust. technical requests for quotations, projects and related tech coordination with relevant departments of the Group
Participation in preparation of marketing promotions
Performing also some sales administration tasks if needed, handling possible customer complaints
Answering customer questions about terms, products, prices and availability.
Providing product support toward customers
Giving sales presentations to a range of prospective customers
Negotiating all contract terms with prospective customers
Coordinating sales efforts with marketing programs
Activities include negotiation, sale and post-sale services
Administrative or other sales activity support to Managing Director or other duties as assigned
What we are looking for
Education - Preferred: University degree in engineering (mechanical or welding engineering) or degree in economics with at least 3 years technical goods sales experience
Extensive experience with distribution type sales activity (working on the field and visiting Customers regularly)
Minimum 2-3 years of B2B field sales experience in similar role
Proficiency in English and Hungarian
Type B driving license
Ready for business travels (Hungary and Southeast Europe)
Competency in Microsoft applications and MS Office tools
Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive personality
Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build relationship with customers
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
