Engineering Project Manager

Our partner is a highly committed expert in the solar market. Their specialised, multidisciplinary teams support clients from start to finish with determination, flexibility, and close collaboration throughout the energy transition. With more than 15 years of experience in photovoltaic energy, they have developed strong capabilities to identify opportunities and effectively address challenges along the way.

The development of new business areas such as biomethane and biogas is now a key focus for them, which is why they are looking for a new colleague to join their biogas/biomethane development team in Hungary. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the engineering and design of a portfolio of projects across the country, as well as overseeing their technical and operational aspects, ensuring delivery in line with timelines, budget, quality, and safety standards:

ENGINEERING PROJECT MANAGER

• Manage the engineering design and integration of biogas/biomethane projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory, safety, and environmental standards
  
• Define the technical scope and support the permitting process in close cooperation with the development team
  
• Participate in the full project lifecycle from design through commissioning and operation
  
• Collaborate with internal teams, clients, contractors, and suppliers, acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders
  
• Identify and manage project risks, ensuring successful delivery
  
• Coordinate and support the project team, ensuring clear responsibilities and effective execution
  
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations and standards
  
• Conduct market research and stay up to date with industry trends, business models, and local regulations
  
• Maintain effective communication and project documentation, including schedules and status reports
  
• Monitor project performance and propose improvements for future project delivery

• 5–7 years of experience in renewable energy project management, including at least 2–3 years of hands-on experience with biogas/biomethane technologies
  
• University degree in engineering
  
• Native-level Hungarian and fluent English language skills
  
• Strong project management abilities with the capability to manage complex projects
  
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
  
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment
  
• Very responsive, flexible and ensures on-time delivery
  
• Highly motivated, with the ability to perform under pressure in a dynamic environment
  
• Valid Category B driving license
