Responsibilities
Technical accounting guidance to the EMEA Controllership COE and Country Controllers on IFRS and local GAAP topics
Research of accounting questions and preparation of summaries, recommendations, and supporting documentation
Support in preparation of technical memos and audit‑ready materials for internal and external auditors
Ensuring accounting processes follow group policies and statutory requirements
Assistance in complex accounting processes such as impairment testing, lease accounting, or tax‑related reconciliations
Support of statutory reporting activities by reviewing documentation and ensuring accuracy and consistency
Contribution to audit readiness by improving documentation quality and control steps
Leadership of assigned process‑improvement projects end‑to‑end including understanding current processes, identifying gaps, designing future processes, preparing RACI matrices, process maps, and documentation, supporting implementation and change management
Ensuring redesigned processes embed correct accounting treatment and support accurate statutory and group reporting
Collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment
Support of system implementation projects and participation in training activities including planning, testing, process alignment, user training, and go‑live support
Support of harmonization of accounting practices and documentation across EMEA
Maintenance and updating of process documentation, templates, and guidance materials
Provision of training or explanations to controllership teams on technical topics or new processes
Contribution to building a central knowledge base for recurring accounting topics

Requirements
Degree in Accounting or Finance
4+ years of experience in operational or statutory accounting within a multinational environment
Strong working knowledge of IFRS
Experience working with auditors on accounting topics
Ability to understand processes end‑to‑end and identify improvement opportunities
Good analytical and problem‑solving skills
Strong communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix environment
4+ years of experience in operational or statutory accounting within a multinational environment
