EMEA Network Engineer

Ceva-Phylaxia is seeking applicants for a full-time Senior Network Engineer role to the Global Network & Security team, who will work in Ceva’s Phylaxia Campus in Budapest’s 10th district on local and global duties.

The Network & Security team consists of 8 internal members across EMEA, the US  and LATAM, supported by an external NOC. The team is responsible for designing, implementing, and operating Ceva’s global network infrastructure, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performing connectivity across all regions.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Reporting to the Network & Security Manager, you will design, implement, and maintain the company’s global network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, SD-WAN, security, VoIP). You will ensure high-performance and secure network operations aligned with business needs, while collaborating with IT teams and driving best practices across network design and operations.

• Maintain and operate global network and security infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
• Manage Level 2/3 incidents and escalations in coordination with NOC and external vendors
• Perform advanced network operations (e.g., VLAN configuration, traffic flow management, equipment deployment)
• Act as a senior escalation point, supporting and mentoring team members on complex technical issues
• Participate in the design, implementation, and deployment of network projects
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance and integrate security solutions into network architecture

• Bachelor’s degree (or Master’s) in IT or related field
• 5–10+ years in networking and security within complex, international environments
• Fluent English (French is a plus)
• Strong expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN, SD-WAN) and technologies such as Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Netskope
• Strong analytical thinking, autonomy, communication skills, and technical leadership mindset
• Practical OT awareness, ideally gained in manufacturing environments, allowing rapid alignment and effective collaboration with a strategic stakeholder under time-sensitive constraints is a plus
