Responsibilities

Organize and coordinate the environmental, health safety and fire protection activity of the company in line with all relevant Hungarian legislation and Adient requirements.
Ensure that the environmental, health & safety, energetics, and fire protection aspect are integrated into the highest level of decision making.
Prepare, implement and update environmental, health and safety, energetics and fire protection procedures of the company, and control their implementation. Ensure compliance with relevant Hungarian legislations and standards and regional/global Adient requirements.
Prepare, provide and evaluate environment, health & safety, energetics and fire safety training programs for employees to ensure persons responsible fully understand the procedures involved.
Initiate, and lead projects to improve the environmental, health & safety, energetic and fire protection performance of the company.
Ensure that environmental protection, health & safety, energetics and fire protection aspect are integrated into all projects planned/implemented at the company.
Communicate the EHS Policy and other EHS requirements to contractors.
Regularly monitor contractors to ensure they are compliant with minimum EHS requirements.
Maintain the ISO 14001, ISO 50001 and ISO45001 certification of the site.
Perform regular inspections to check the effectiveness of the EHS management system.
Cooperating with the Location/ Plant Manager and CFT's to define, track and achieve annual EHS Objectives and Targets
In line with corporate requirements regularly tracking and reporting EHS related KPIs and other performance indicators
Investigating and reporting all accidents, near misses, illnesses, and emergency responses, and ensuring that corrective and preventive actions/controls are implemented
Fulfills all environmental, health safety and fire protection related legally required reporting and input all the required data into internal database
Organize, lead and regularly update the Workplace hazard assessment, Environmental impact assessment, Ergonomic assessment, Energetics aspects assessment of the site.
Coordinate Energy team activities; Energy management representative
Informing the regional EHS Manager about any issues arising during the implementation of the EHS system or any other issues that might expose the company to legal actions or negative publicity
Keeping the list of legal requirements updated and informing the management team and regional EHS manager about significant changes that might have an impact on the plant.

Requirements

Engineering or bachelor’s degree in environmental protection or Health and Safety engineering
2 years of experience in the field of environmental and/or EHS and fire prevention
Health, Safety and Environmental management Standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001); Energy Management Standard (ISO 50001)
Hungarian Health and Safety, Environmental protection Regulations
Basic knowledge of NFPA Protection Standards or any other local Fire Protections standards
Standard PC skills, experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint etc.
Knowledge of English – communication level, Hungarian – mother tongue
