Responsibilities
ARACE Kft. is seeking a motivated and skilled Drone Engineer to join our expanding team in Budapest. This is a full-time, on-site position where you will play a pivotal role in the design, development, testing, and support of next-generation UAVs. As a Drone Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Lead Development Engineer to push the boundaries of drone technology while ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety.

- Assist the Lead Development Engineer in designing and improving both new and existing UAV platforms.
- Contribute to the development and testing of drones, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Create, organise, and manage comprehensive documentation, including written guides and video tutorials for internal and client use.
- Conduct flight testing of UAVs to verify design improvements and operational readiness.
- Provide troubleshooting and maintenance support, including assisting clients via remote connections to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Deliver training sessions for UAV operators and support maintenance activities in Hungary and occasionally overseas (up to one week at a time).
Requirements
- Mechatronics skill and experince, including soldering is a must.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Very good command of English and Fluency Hungarian is essential for communication and training purposes.
- Willingness to travel overseas for short operational training to our clients or on-site maintenance assignments (typically one week in duration).
- Advanced IT knowledge, including most Microsoft Office software.
- Experience flying RC airplanes or drones. Fixed wings flying skills is an advantage.
Nice-to-have
- Solid understanding of UAV operation.
- Hands-on experience with ArduPilot hardware and software, demonstrating technical competency in this platform.
- Basic programming experience is a distinct advantage (e.g., Lua scripting), along with expertise in drones, UAV systems, and robotics.
