Responsibilities

Preparation for containerization and cloud deployment
Increasing scalability of systems while maintaining high quality
Re-evaluation of systems design and development of new features
Support of development teams both backend and frontend focused
Enhancement of CI/CD pipelines
Improvement of monitoring and observability
Support and maintenance of custom infrastructure solutions
Ownership of CI/CD pipelines and guidance for developers
Migration from Octopus to GitHub Actions
Design and evolution of monitoring systems with Prometheus/Grafana
Integration of observability into CI/CD workflows
Support and extension of custom-built infrastructure components
Collaboration with frontend and backend teams for performance, scalability, and security
Collaboration with Gaming teams and DevOps engineers for tooling and guidance

Requirements

Experience with GitHub Actions and Octopus focusing on deployment automation, speed, reliability, and test coverage
Ability to guide developers and foster ownership of CI/CD workflows
Proficiency with Prometheus/Grafana including dashboard building and alerting
Understanding of observability practices including tracing, logging, and metrics correlation
Experience with custom-built NGINX setups for routing
Strong knowledge of AWS services including EC2, ALB, VPC, EKS
Experience managing infrastructure using Terraform and modules
Proven experience setting up and managing Kubernetes clusters, ideally with AWS EKS and Rancher RKE
Ability to write scripts in Python, Bash, PowerShell or similar for automation and tooling
Proficiency in Git and versioned source control practices
Support for build and deployment processes for backend (.NET) and frontend (JavaScript/TypeScript, StencilJS) applications
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills
Solid understanding of DevOps culture and ITIL best practices
Excellent problem-solving skills for complex technical issues
Technical enablement for development teams with tooling, guidance, and support
Championing DevOps best practices and empowering teams
