Project specific intro:

Modern manufacturing relies on highly automated, configurable machine tools that can be adapted quickly to different production needs - from single prototypes to large scale series production.

The SINUMERIK product family provides advanced control solutions for CNC machine tools - supporting programming, commissioning, and operation across a wide range of industrial applications. In other words, it is the mind and soul of the machine.

Our Budapest team develops a software suite, which enables machine manufacturers to configure, commission, and upgrade CNC machines in an automated and reproducible way. By combining engineering software with hardware integrated execution on the control, the solution transforms traditionally manual commissioning processes into efficient, scalable workflows.

As a result, machine production and upgrade processes become faster, more reliable, and less dependent on manual expert intervention, while ensuring consistent quality across large machine fleets.

You’ll make an impact by:

• Owning and improving CI/CD pipelines (build, deployment, automated test execution) to ensure reliable and fast feedback cycles

• Creating, maintaining, and monitoring regular debug and release builds across development and release branches

• Taking ownership of configuration management activities related to software builds, releases, and deployment processes

• Maintaining and optimizing the build and test infrastructure (Jenkins, virtual machines, environments) to increase stability and reduce manual effort

• Supporting and improving automated test execution workflows in close collaboration with testers and developers

• Automating repetitive tasks in build, test, and development processes to increase overall efficiency

• Improving reliability and performance of pipelines, reducing flaky builds and unstable test runs

• Supporting integration of Python-based test automation into CI workflows

• Troubleshooting complex infrastructure and pipeline issues and ensuring fast resolution of build and test failures

• Analyzing system bottlenecks and operational inefficiencies and proposing improvements

• Working closely with developers to support CI/CD usage, debugging build or deployment issues, and improving developer experience

• Collaborating with testers to ensure scalable and efficient test execution (environment setup, data handling, reporting)

• Communicating infrastructure topics, issues, and improvements clearly across the team

• Contributing to the simplification and standardization of the overall development and test environment

• Using modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted solutions, to improve efficiency in infrastructure management and automation

• Experience with CI/CD systems (e.g. Jenkins) and pipeline design

• Strong scripting or programming skills (Python, Bash, or similar) for automation tasks

• Experience with build systems, automation, and development toolchains

• Experience with software configuration management, build management, and release processes

• Experience with Linux-based environments and system-level troubleshooting

• Understanding of software development workflows (Git, branching strategies, build processes)

• Experience with test automation environments or interest in improving automated testing workflows

• Understanding of infrastructure behind automated test execution and build processes

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, especially in complex system environments

• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with developers and testers

• Proactive mindset with a focus on stability, efficiency, and continuous improvement

• Openness to using modern tools, including AI-assisted approaches, to improve productivity

• Fluent written and spoken English (German is a plus)

• Experience improving CI/CD systems and build infrastructure

• Experience with virtualization or infrastructure environments (VMs, network setups)

• Hands-on experience with test automation pipelines and reporting

• Experience debugging complex build or infrastructure issues

• Background in industrial automation or hardware-integrated systems
