Demand Planner
Join us
The Demand Planner is responsible for creating accurate short‑, mid‑, and long‑term demand forecasts to support operational, commercial, and financial planning. This role collaborates closely with Supply Planning, Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other cross‑functional teams to ensure product availability, optimize inventory, and support business performance.
Tasks
Forecasting & Analytics
Develop, maintain, and improve statistical demand forecasts using historical data, market intelligence, and analytics tools.
Conduct monthly demand reviews and support S&OP / IBP processes.
Analyze forecast accuracy, bias, and drivers of variability; implement corrective actions to improve performance.
Monitor demand trends, seasonality, promotions, and new product introductions.
Business Collaboration
Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to incorporate market insights and strategic plans into demand projections.
Facilitate cross‑functional consensus on forecast assumptions.
Provide demand insights for capacity planning, supply planning, and scenario planning.
Inventory & Supply Alignment
Align demand signals with supply and inventory strategies to ensure service level targets are met.
Highlight potential risks and opportunities (excess inventory, stock‑outs, demand spikes).
Support lifecycle management including phase‑ins, phase‑outs, and end‑of‑life inventory control.
Systems & Process Excellence
Maintain demand planning systems, master data, and planning parameters.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning efficiency and data quality.
Support automation, digital tools, and advanced analytics adoption within planning processes.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
Advanced degree or ASCM/IBF certification is an advantage.
Skills
Strong analytical and statistical skills; advanced Excel required.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate data into business insights.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Collaborative mindset, with experience working in cross‑functional teams.
Familiarity with S&OP/IBP processes preferred.
Other experience
2–3+ years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics.
Experience with planning systems (e.g., SAP IBP, APO, Kinaxis, o9, Anaplan, Excel/Power BI).
