Responsibilities

Development and running of Databricks practice
Setting priorities and coordinating experts across divisions
Organising shared initiatives
Shaping technical direction with CTO and technical leaders
Defining engineering standards
Supporting delivery quality through architecture and technical reviews
Building and maintaining shared knowledge, reusable code, reference architectures and accelerators
Bringing relevant Databricks developments into work
Developing colleagues' expertise through mentoring, training, knowledge sharing and certification paths
Owning technical relationship with Databricks as partner and client
Contributing to joint initiatives
Supporting presales and client workshops
Representing Hiflylabs through technical content, events and the wider Databricks community
Designing and implementing client solutions

Requirements

Deep hands-on Databricks expertise
Broad understanding of Databricks capabilities across data engineering, advanced analytics, AI/ML and application development
Strong track record in delivering integrated solutions using Databricks and complementary tools and technologies
Experience as Tech Lead, Lead Architect, Engineering Lead or similar senior technical leader
Experience building or leading technical teams or communities
Ability and motivation to establish effective ways of working
Commitment to developing others while staying actively involved in engineering and delivery
Strong communication skills
Fluent English

Nice-to-have

Experience with conference talks, technical writing or other forms of external knowledge sharing
Candidates based in Hungary preferred
