Responsibilities

Support and evolve production database infrastructure
Work with PostgreSQL, ClickHouse, MongoDB, Cassandra and other distributed data systems
Ensure availability, reliability, replication, backup/restore and failover
Analyze and optimize database performance, queries and workloads
Participate in incident response, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Set up and improve monitoring and observability for database platforms
Automate database operations: backups, failover, scaling and maintenance
Improve Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD and deployment processes
Collaborate with developers, SRE and infrastructure teams
Design architecture, mentor engineers and drive best practices

Requirements

Experience in database engineering, DBA, database platform or SRE/database roles
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
Experience with one or more databases: ClickHouse, MongoDB, Cassandra, Vertica or similar
Experience with production database clusters
Understanding of HA/DR, replication, backup/restore and capacity planning
Strong skills in performance tuning, query optimization and indexing
Linux administration experience
Experience with monitoring/logging tools: Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, Graylog or similar
Experience with automation: scripts, IaC, CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of database fundamentals: consistency, isolation, scaling and security
English B1+ (written and verbal communication)

Nice-to-have

Experience production experience with ClickHouse: replication, sharding, MergeTree, Distributed tables, query optimization
Experience with PostgreSQL advanced features: logical replication, partitioning, extensions
Experience with Patroni, repmgr, pgBackRest, Barman, PgBouncer
Experience with Kubernetes, bare metal or private cloud environments
Experience with MinIO / Ceph
Experience in high-load fintech, trading, betting, adtech, telecom or e-commerce projects
