Responsibilities

Operation, scaling, maintenance and improvement of database platforms handling terabytes of data
Troubleshooting database functionality issues
Design of scalable and reliable database architectures for different workloads and availability requirements
Support, monitoring and maintenance of databases with terabytes of data including PostgreSQL on AWS RDS, ClickHouse, Yugabyte
Troubleshooting query performance issues related to applications on large datasets
Optimization of data structure and management of structural changes and migration processes
Support to development teams during design, development and delivery to ensure solid, scalable, robust solutions
Accurate assessment of risks associated with each solution design
Participation in 24/7 on-call duty as part of the team
Support of development of team members for efficient use of database resources

Requirements

Strong design and administrative experience with large databases primarily Postgres
Experience with database management at least one leading cloud service provider such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
Thorough working knowledge of design and database development processes and methodologies
Strong database setup, configuration, maintenance, support and troubleshooting skills
Experience with different database engines
Base knowledge about Terraform managed databases
Fluent English
