Responsibilities

Setting up and maintaining databases for payment systems
Maintaining, monitoring and supporting production and development of databases and environments
Monitoring and troubleshooting database integrity, performance, blocking and deadlock, replication/log shipping, connectivity, and security issues
Troubleshooting SQL Server related CPU, memory, I/O, disk space and other resource contention
Applying high availability through backups, restores, DBCC commands, clustering, availability groups, replication
Implementing operational automation
Installing and configuring new SQL Servers
Applying latest patches and updates
Planning system storage and partitioning
Writing, optimizing and maintaining stored procedures
Performance tuning of T-SQL queries based on best practices
Ensuring database performance optimization
Index management, creation, storage, and integrity checks
Working in partnership with development teams and providing technical expertise for optimized and innovative solutions
Deploying database change scripts
Supporting developers on efficient database designs
Modelling data optimized for read-write workloads

Requirements

Experience in payments, FinTech, or financial services testing in PCI DSS-regulated environments
Proficiency in SQL scripting including PostgreSQL and MS SQL Server for querying and analysing payment data
.NET/C# experience
Experience with Jira, source control systems, and browser console
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team coordinating with multiple departments
Skill in managing workload, prioritizing tasks, and adapting to dynamic environments
Understanding of online entertainment and gambling industry
