Responsibilities

Rathgeber Kft., part of Isabellenhütte Heusler GmbH & Co. KG, is looking for a dedicated Databricks Expert / Azure Data Engineering Expert to support our team IT Data Office.
Your Role:
You actively contribute to the continuous growth and optimization of our data intelligence platform and its architecture, build efficient, scalable data pipelines, and ensure data quality and governance.
In short: You’re not just a Databricks Expert – You join the journey to a data driven approach.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

You develop and maintain all our data pipelines (ETL/ELT pipelines).
You play an active role in data modeling, particularly in the development and maintenance of Data Lakehouse Architectures.
You implement role and authorization concepts in Databricks and document pipelines, processes, and data flows.
You analyze and systematically optimize the performance of Spark and (Spark)-SQL queries and troubleshoot complex data and architecture problems
In addition: You provide support for reporting and BI projects as well as knowledge transfer, for example by creating understandable documentation and instructions and by providing training

Requirements

Your Qualifications:

Degree in (Business) Informatics, preferably with a focus on Data Management or Analytics (or a similar field)
Several years of experience as Databricks Expert or a similar position
Proactive identification of bottlenecks and service-oriented approach
Strong operative expertise / knowledge / programming skills:
- Databricks Platform, Apache Spark and Delta Lake
- Optimization in Spark, Delta Lake and SQL
- Database Technologies (SQL, Oracle)
- Star-/Snowflake-Scheme, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog.
Optional Knowledge:
- BI-Tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Apache Nifi or alternative tools
- SAP and its table structure
- Alternative programming skills for DevOps Pipelines (e.g. YAML, Powershell, etc.)
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, German skills are an advantage
