BorsodChem Zrt. a leading European manufacturer of MDI and TDI products and PVC powders, part of the Chinese Wanhua Group is looking for a new colleague to fill in the position of Cost Controller. We welcome applications from fresh graduates either.

Cost controller/Quantity Surveyor (with secondary school education)

Task:

Review whether the progress payments approved by the front-end with the actual progress on-site.
Verify the accuracy of the site change approved in the front-end .
Review the accuracy of the quantity in blueprint settlements.
Review the billing terms in the tender documents and contracts for engineering and maintenance department.
Review method statement involving cost changes and auditing engineering changes.
Supervise and evaluate the bidding process and bid clearing.
Produce detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) based on architectural and engineering drawings, review and evaluate contractors' BOQ submissions.
Review construction contracts and provide insights on terms and conditions.
Above description will focus on one area of expertise, such as Civil, Mechanical, E&I.

Expectation:

Secondary level education on technical field
Fluent Hungarian and English in both verbal and written form
Analytical thinking
Excellent communication and negotiation skills

Other:

College/University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil and Engineering Management)
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Construction Supervisor in relevant tasks, preferably in large-scale projects.
Strong understanding of construction methods and materials,
Ability to read and understand architectural and engineering drawings (within own professional field)
