Responsibilities
Reporting & Analysis
- Further develop our OPEX reporting to create transparency and deeper insights
- Enhance and develop regular reports, variance analyses and ad-hoc requests
- Contribute to the creation of OPEX budgets and forecasts together with the team and specialist departments
- Support OPEX benchmarking across vessels, business units and external references to identify cost outliers, understand cost drivers and support management with clear, data‑driven improvement recommendations
Data, Systems & Processes
- Actively contribute to developing a modern reporting landscape in Microsoft Power BI and support its implementation (data requirements, testing)
- Collaborate with our Data Modeling team and support them in developing feasible technical solutions through consultancy and acceptance testing
- Drive improvements in data quality within the OPEX domain and an active role in process optimization
- Cooperate with Accounting during period-end closing activities (data validation, analysis, OPEX interfaces)
- Support ERP-related initiatives driven by new business requirements impacting financial reporting processes
Requirements
- A degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or comparable qualification
- Experience with Business Intelligence tools, preferably Power BI and solid MS Office skills
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and processes
- Very good English skills and enjoyment working in an international environment
- High affinity for numbers combined with strong communication skills
- Open and confident personality with hands-on mentality, high self-motivation, and an independent and conscientious working style
- Experience in the shipping industry is an advantage but not required
- Team player skills and actively contribute ideas and work collaboratively

As part of the OPEX Controlling team, you play a key role in supporting the cost transparency and financial steering of our own fleet. Through close cooperation with Technical, Fleet and Accounting teams, you contribute to modern reporting, analyzing key operational cost drivers and improving data quality, process integration and insight generation across the organization.
