Responsibilities

About the Position: Site Fincance Controller

The Site Finance Controller serves as the Head of Finance for Kisber production plant. You will be responsible for the strategic and operational financial management of the site, ensuring high-quality reporting, robust budgeting, and compliance with both local Hungarian regulations and Group standards. You will lead a dedicated team of 4-6 professionals, fostering a culture of precision, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

1. Leadership & Team Management

Direct leadership of the Finance Department (4-6 FTEs):
Mentor and develop staff, ensuring high performance and professional growth within the team.
Oversee the Chief Accountant’s interaction with Hungarian tax authorities and external auditors.
Talent Development: Mentor staff to improve analytical capabilities and SAP proficiency; ensure robust succession planning.
Business Partnership: Act as a co-pilot to the Plant Manager, providing financial insights to improve plant productivity and cost-saving initiatives

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & Strategic Planning

AOP Leadership: Lead the Annual Operating Plan process, coordinating between production, logistics, and HR to ensure a realistic and challenging budget.
Rolling Forecasts: Prepare monthly and quarterly P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow forecasts.
Bridge Analysis: Perform deep-dive AOP vs. Actual analysis; prepare "Bridges" (Volume, Mix, Price, Cost) and present findings to the Regional HQ.
Corrective Action: Drive the implementation of recovery plans if financial targets are at risk.

3. Operational Production Controlling

Cost Accounting: Maintain and update standard costs in SAP; ensure accurate BOM (Bill of Materials) and routing valuations.
Variance Management: Monitor and analyze production variances, including scrap rates, labor efficiency, and Material Price Variance (MPV).
Inventory Control: Oversee annual physical inventory counts and monthly cycle counting; analyze slow-moving and obsolete stock (SLOB).
CAPEX: Manage the investment budget, from business case preparation (ROI/Payback) to asset activation and depreciation tracking.

4. Financial Reporting & Compliance

Group Reporting: Ensure timely month-end closing and reporting in accordance with IFRS.
Local Statutory: Oversee the Chief Accountant in the preparation of Hungarian GAAP filings and tax compliance (VAT, CIT, Local Business Tax, Innovation Contribution).
Internal Controls: Maintain a rigorous control environment compliant with J-SOX and TISAX requirements.
Audit Management: Act as the main interface for internal and external auditors and local Hungarian authorities.

Requirements

Experience: Minimum of 5–8 years of progressive experience in finance or controlling within a manufacturing environment (Automotive experience is highly preferred).
Education: University degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics. ACCA/CIMA or local chartered accountant certification is an advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling).
- Deep understanding of IFRS and Hungarian GAAP.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management abilities.
- Analytical mindset with a "hands-on" approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hungarian.
