Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records, including general ledger entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
Initiate in the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring qualified and timely financial statement from local agency and complete reports/reconciliation internally.

Monitor daily cash balances, transactions, and bank account activities.
Perform financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of corporate income tax, VAT, and withholding tax returns and develop strategic tax plans to optimize efficiency and report regularly.
Coordinate and facilitate both internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditor requests.
Conduct proactive tax implications of business decisions and cooperate with compliant TP and Tax audit documentation and reporting with partners
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Stay current with accounting regulations and standards, ensuring the company's financial operations remain compliant with the latest requirements.
Provide guidance and support to junior staff members as needed.
Supporting and coordinating SSC-related processes with cross-functional teams.
Continuous collaboration with the SSC during closing activities.
Ensuring alignment between SAP and local accounting data.
Participation in IFRS transition and related process developments.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA certification is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong understanding of Local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Experience with ERP systems and financial software.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Demonstrated leadership and mentoring abilities.
Fluency in Hungarian and English is essential.
