Responsibilities

As part of the international Haier Group, KLIMA Kft. is seeking a Chief Accountant. The role reports directly to the Finance Manager and is responsible for all statutory and management accounting, including financial closing and reporting processes. The role ensures the integrity of the company’s accounting records, compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations, and the timely preparation of financial statements. Key responsibilities include:

Act as a key partner to the Finance Manager in driving financial accuracy and delivering management reporting
Lead and oversee the company’s full scope of accounting operations and provide professional support and guidance to the accounting team (2–3 members), overseeing ERP-based accounting processes and driving improvements where needed
Organize, coordinate, and supervise monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes, prepare or supervise the preparation of annual financial statements and related disclosures
Review tax returns, statistical reports, and other statutory filings, act as the key contact for auditors, authorities, and tax advisors
Ensure compliance with Hungarian accounting standards and tax regulations and internal accounting policies and procedures
Manage complex areas such as credit control, inventory accounting, and project-related financials
Manage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and related recharge processes which require frequent collaboration with Group entities

Requirements

We are looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant (or equivalent) with at least 3 years of experience in a Chief or Senior Accountant role and solid knowledge of Hungarian accounting and tax regulations.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience managing monthly and year-end closings, so working confidently with Excel comes as a given, while familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred.
You will enjoy working with us if you are accurate and independent, with an organized and responsible approach – and appreciate the possibility to shape our own routines and processes.
Experience in a multinational environment, particularly within manufacturing or trading companies, is preferred, and knowledge of IFRS is considered an advantage.
