Maintenance and enhancement of an automated market-making application
Development and maintenance of C++ and python backend applications and services used in brokerage-related systems
Investigation of issues in existing software, identification of root causes, and implementation of reliable fixes
Use of AI-assisted development tools to support design, implementation, testing, debugging, and code review
Writing clear, maintainable, and well-tested code
Working primarily in a Linux environment using GCC and common command-line development tools
Collaboration with other developers and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical solutions

Good programming ability in C++ appropriate to level of experience
Understanding of object-oriented programming, common data structures, algorithms, and the C++ Standard Library
Strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills
Ability to read, understand, debug, and improve an existing C++ codebase
Familiarity with Linux or strong willingness to work in a Linux-based development environment
Familiarity with version control
Care and attention to detail when working on systems that support trading and market-making activity
Ability to communicate clearly, ask good questions, and work effectively as part of a small team
Willingness to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion
A degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience
University-level knowledge of C++, object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and the STL for junior candidates
Relevant personal, academic, internship, or professional programming experience for junior candidates
Professional experience developing and maintaining C++ applications for mid-level candidates
Experience debugging production issues and working with existing, long-lived codebases for mid-level candidates
Practical understanding of software design, testing, performance, and maintainability for mid-level candidates
Ability to work independently on well-defined tasks while knowing when to involve others for mid-level candidates
