Our EMEA Business Service Center (BSC) in Budapest is Eaton’s largest office in the region. It empowers seamless operations and drives exceptional results across our electrical, industrial, and corporate teams. The purpose of the positon is to support Eaton manufacturing plants and other Eaton locations in the EMEA region with operational procurement activities from our Center of Excellence (CoE) office in Budapest.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Procures direct materials (Internal & External) following plant and corporate regulations (QA, SCM)
  • Communicates and coordinates with network schedulers for plan and execution updates
  • Understands material requirements and processes requisitions to provide POs to suppliers (Internal & External)
  • Works closely with suppliers to ensure on time delivery of material to plant
  • Executes exception messages from MRP/Kinaxis (postponement/anticipation/cancellation of orders) and manage internal escalations
  • Resolving internal discrepancies with operations and external issues with suppliers (e.g. delivery issues, claims, quality issues etc.)
  • Works closely with logistics partners & Logistics schedulers/planners and suppliers for material delivery as per incoterms
  • Evaluates and monitors supply performance (SOTD) and works with suppliers and category managers to implement corrective/preventive actions for on time performance improvement
  • Weekly Cadence with Incumbent Suppliers ensuring line of Balance
  • Supplier invoice management and support in resolution of holds for timely payments
  • Maintains inventory levels of materials in accordance with the objectives set, and works with inputs from inventory analysts and network schedulers for optimized inventory level
  • Coordinates with Supplier Quality and suppliers for RMA of defective parts and related reverse logistics
  • Maintains relevant purchasing data in collaboration with Data Health and Commodity team
  • Utilizes all digital tools available for SCM for maximized efficiency
  • Share Forecast with Suppliers (Manual/Kinaxis Supplier Collaboration)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing or supply chain management preferred
  • Fluent English and the ability to use French (written and oral) in a professional capacity
  • MS Office skills (Excel)
  • Experience in purchasing/procurement (manufacturing environment preferred)
  • ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, Vista, BaaN, …)
  • RFQ process management
