Responsibilities

Preparation of annual, quarterly and monthly financial plans, coordination of the planning process
Preparation of financial forecasts in line with company goals and strategic directions
Elaboration and development of financial models to follow the evolution of company performance
Participation in monthly and annual closing tasks for Hungarian site
Continuous monitoring and analysis of the company's costs, exploration of cost reduction opportunities
Preparation of monthly cost and profit statements and their presentation to the CFO in Belgium
Investigating and analyzing budget deviations, uncovering the causes of deviations, and developing proposals for their improvement
Analysis of financial statements, monitoring and evaluation of KPIs (key performance indicators).
Monitoring the development of the company's performance, making recommendations to increase efficiency
Participation in financial planning and forecasting, analysis of plan-actual deviations, development of planning and forecasting
Creation of ad-hoc reports and analyses, if necessary
Development of controlling processes and increasing their efficiency
Close cooperation with various departments in order to strengthen business processes and financial control

Requirements

Higher education in controlling, finance or business economics (e.g. economist, financial management)
At least 5 years of relevant controlling or financial analyst experience in a manufacturing company environment
Strong oral and written communication skills in English for reporting and discussing findings and the ability to present financial information clearly and comprehensibly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
Ability to analyse complex financial data and trends and turn them into actionable insights
Strong problem-solving skills to identify and address financial challenges
Proficiency in working with financial systems such as ERP software (e.g. Business Central) and spreadsheets like Microsoft Excel
Knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
Experience with financial planning processes and forecasting
Precision, sense of responsibility and deadline orientation
Able to work independently
