The U.S. Embassy Bern is seeking eligible, qualified applicants for the position of a Bodyguard/driver.Bodyguard (Bodyguard/Driver)The Bodyguard is an important member of our dynamic Regional Security Office and plays a crucial role in effectively mitigating security and safety risks faced by the U.S. Ambassador and other very important people (VIPs). As part of their core responsibilities, the Bodyguard acts as a close protection agent, providing immediate physical security for the Ambassador and mitigating potential threats or attacks.The Bodyguard regularly serves as the primary or secondary driver for the Ambassador or Chargé, ensuring safe and secure transportation in a fully armored vehicle while adhering to all local driving laws and regulations. The Bodyguard must have and maintain a valid driver’s license, preferably Swiss driving license C1.
